It's a crazy life

So I thought I was busy when I posted last time, “busy” hadn’t even started. But ha, I’m loving it. Last week was the school revival with John Parker. It one of the best school revivals I think we have ever had. Not wild, but deep and meaningful. My favorite sermons were on Monday, Tuesday, and especially Sunday night. You can go to http://www.holinessonline.com/ubc.htm and listen to all of the services. In all of the hubbub of schoolwork, music lessons, work, and helping at my church, sometimes I don’t get to spend as much time with my family as I would like to. Some weekends even though I’m home, I may not see my family at all due to different crazy schedules, and believe it or not we begin to miss one another. It’s funny to me how the different members of my family express these feeling of “I miss you”. They may call me for no reason, text me little notes, or spend hours of time doing things for me when I’m not around to do it myself. That’s when I’m not home, when I’m around they tell me multitudes of stories recounting the weeks events, offer innumerable helpful comments, and piles of advice. They might pester me with hug attacks, lame jokes and sarcastic remarks, tickle fights and rib-poking or even pranks. ;-) Saturday I experienced one of those “I miss yous”. I worked all day long (11-7). As soon I got home I ate supper, had family devotions, took a shower and went to my room to get ready for bed. I pulled back the covers, preparing to climb in to bed, and what did I see? A pair of underwear, which were just a particular little person’s size. Then, I went to get something out of my computer bag and guess what I find, an eight pound weight. I love you too Tyler. :-) When I’m in the moment, these little displays of affection may be annoying, but at a second glance I’m always thankful for them. These times let me know how much I’m loved and missed, but remind me too how much I love and miss them, and how far apart our lives are growing. A mingling of joy and sadness fills me when I think about this. I guess this is what it feels like to grow up, huh. lol
